This bauxite is loaded onto a train which is then transported to an ore ship in Discovery Bay and then on to various processing plants all over the world.

Jamaica is recognized as have the second highest quality of bauxite ore behind the Ivory Coast but because Jamaica's bauxite is so close to the surface it makes mining extremely easy and thus Jamaica's bauxite is among the most cost effective to mine.
