Tennis is the first of the 5 training sports in Wii Sports.
There are three different training modes for this sport for each game: Returning Balls, Timing Your Swing, Target Practice
00:00 Returning Balls
In Returning Balls, the player has to hit as many balls as possible to the other side of the net. Elisa stands there and serves the balls to the player. The further the player gets, the harder and faster Elisa serves the balls, making it harder and harder to return them. The player is disqualified at the first mistake (either missing the ball or hitting it outside the tennis court).
01:18 Timing Your Swing
In Timing Your Swing, the player must hit the ball into the orange zone. The further the player gets, the smaller the orange zone gets and the harder it is for the player to hit the orange zone. Also, the orange zone sometimes moves. The first time a player makes a mistake (either not hitting the ball in the orange zone or missing the ball), the player is disqualified.
02:32 Target Practice
In Target Practice, the player has to hit the target with the ball. At the beginning of the game, the bricks on the wall are all white. But if the player hits a point on the wall with the ball several times, the bricks there will get darker and darker and finally they will break, leaving a hole in the wall. The target will be in a different place each time the player hits it. At the beginning of the game, the target is in the middle of the wall, but as the player progresses, the target will be anywhere on the wall. The game ends immediately after the player makes his first mistake (either missing the ball or hitting it past the walls).
