WILDERNESS TEMAGAMI | 2021 Canoe Camping Trip in the North | Part 3

Follow
Matt Haughn

Jessica and I head from Chiniguchi Lake to Evelyn Lake and encounter the toughest portage of the trip on the way (poor brand new canoe). We enjoy a delicious meal and beautiful sunset atop our island campsite, before hunkering down for a cold night. The following day we make our way to Donald Lake, to enjoy the sparkling blue water and towering cliff face. Enjoy!

Lasagna Recipe
This recipe was heavily inspired by‪@KevinOutdoors‬ ! His YouTube channel is a wealth of backcountry dehydrating knowledge and his book "Backcountry Eats" is even better! We used Kevin's methods to adapt our favourite at home lasagna recipe for the backcountry, so thank you Kevin!

57g pasta
32g ground beef
32g sauce
23g cottage cheese
8g spinach
Optional Addition: Freeze dried cheese (or bring fresh cheese with you to put on top!)

Place dried ingredients in a pot with enough water just to cover. Heat to boiling, then place in pot cozy for 15mins. Enjoy!
