Will a Predator 301 fit in a Coleman KT196? I acquired a Predator 301cc 8HP with my new go kart, which was a downgrade on it, but would be a massive upgrade on the KT196... but the big question is, will it fit? Will it work? What kind of performance difference should I expect?

While I am fixing this kart I decided I should advance the timing and swap to a smaller front sprocket with a few other corrections. This thing now runs better than it ever has!

History: My neighbor asked me for help with a couple of abandoned Coleman KT196 Go Karts that she got for a killer deal. She didn't know if they would run, so I helped her to pick them up, and to get one ready for a Christmas gift to her grandson. These Coleman KT196 Go Karts are rather common, and not very old. They were expensive when they were new, but parts are rather plentiful and not very expensive when it comes to the world of motorsports.
