What Is Roblox?
Roblox is free to play, with ingame purchases available through a virtual currency called Robux. As of August 2020, Roblox had over 164 million monthly active users, including over half of all American children under 16. Although Roblox has received generally positive reviews from critics, it has faced criticism for its moderation, microtransactions, and accusations of exploitative practices directed toward children.
Roblox technically isn't a game. It is a gaming environment aimed at children. Roblox users download the Roblox app to their computer, game console, phone, or tablet. They then select a Roblox game each time they open the app. It may surprise you to know that Roblox has been around since 2006.
