This video discusses a simple and effective modification you can make to the Prime Prodigy low row footplate for use with your imported power rack from companies such as Rep Fitness Ares or Athena, Titan Fitness etc.

There are three things you’re going to need before you start:
* A low row footplate from Prime Fitness which you can use code MWPiG5 at checkout to save 5% off of your purchase
*An angle grinder
*A 5/32” Allen wrench

Step 1: remove the 1/4” UHMW by using the 5/32” Allen wrench to remove the 5 Allen screws that hold it in place and set that to the side.

Step 2: use your angle grinder to remove a little bit of material from the very top of the top most pin note that you’re removing a little bit from the topmost ridge, right down the center and a little bit left to right kinda going back and forth, to ultimately create kind of a slightly oblong shaped pin.

Step 3: Test fit it in your rack, repeat as necessary. Once you are satisfied with the fitment, move to step 4.

Step 4: Reinstall the UHMW using the Allen wrench and screws

Tip: If you really want a nicer looking finished product, I’d recommend finishing it off with a few really quick passes with a flap wheel or a higher grit sandpaper.
