Will This Mac Crush My Spirit? The Cursed LC575 - iiiDIY

The LC575 was released in early 1994 as a respectablyspec'd and affordable allinone Macintosh for home and education markets. The form factor and design didn't change from its 550 and 520 predecessors Apple stuck to a formula that worked, simply increasing the speed and capability.

After the LC575, Apple changed the internal harness. This made the 575's logic board a soughtafter upgrade option for compatible Mac released in '9394, mainly the woefully underpowered Color Classic. Many people have robbed 575's of their boards, leaving empty shells, and the secondary market for working boards is out of reach for many regular collectors now.

I came across this sadly neglected and abused example from a longclosed school. It has been pushed around a moldy garage for many years, and likely sat under a water leak or outside... but hopefully we can save it!
