92 Days after Steve and Rohini last visited the Wilmington, NC area, they were under contract to buy a home in Brunswick Forest. Previously we spent 3 days reviewing the area from Southport to Wilmington and numerous 55+ communities in between. There is not a "one size fits all community" and trade offs with every community. Steve and Rohini decided that, for them, being closer to Wilmington was a better fit. Coming to this conclusion in advance made it much more comfortable for them to pull the trigger on a home when it came on the market. The right home in the wrong area is the wrong home, but they knew the area / community they wanted to live in so picking the home became much easier. However, time was of the essence. They called me with questions on two homes. One had been on the market for several days however the one they actually chose had only been on the market a few days. We had to move quick. We negotiated a price with a due diligence period that gave them time to see the home in person before being fully committed to buying the home. Additionally, we scheduled and completed a 3rd party home inspection prior to their arrival. When they did come to see the home they were exceedingly pleased.
