A windy and brusque overcast January day.
Hiking the entire perimeter of Merrill Creek Reservoir NJ,
this "beach" is on the western side, about 1/4 mile from the main dam.
The sand of the shoreline can be seen as the waves
wash onto a partially submerged tree stump.
At the end of this video is a photo of the “beach”
looking towards the woods when the water level in the reservoir
was lower and a beautiful rustic spiral labyrinth
was constructed by a visitor.
For now the labyrinth is several feet underwater.
