Masterpieces of German engineering: Electricity from wind power provides the second largest share of energy supply in Germany since 2017 and has thus outstripped nuclear and coal power. Nearly 30,000 onshore and offshore wind turbines are currently in operation in Germany, covering around 19 percent of energy consumption.

This documentary follows the construction of a new wind power plant in Falkenthal in Brandenburg. Once installed, the windmill will be 179 meters high and will supply up to 5,000 households with electricity. But building up a wind turbine is a difficult task.
