What was planned as a fun school trip, turned into a tragedy for a Triad family. On Sunday, a Reynolds High School student drowned at Ocean Isle Beach. Seventeenyearold Leanne Torio was on the school's robotics team.

The group was in Ocean Isle for a school trip. During a break from studying, Torio took a swim but got caught in a rip current and tragically drowned. We spoke with someone who witnessed the scary scene as it happened.
