Although the hike took place in midMarch, it is still considered winter. The first couple of days the weather was not very pleasant; a strong icy wind was blowing, which was trying to blow us off our feet. But then the weather cleared up and sometimes it was even hot. The nights were quite cold, but bearable.
On the hike, I was with my subscriber Bair, who offered to join me. Because I was after surgery and I couldn’t lift anything heavy, I agreed. The bulk of the weights were placed on drags, which were pulled by Bair. Thus, I could afford to go hiking along Lake Baikal during the postoperative period.
