A winter morning hike at Hennops hiking trail, Johannesburg South Africa.

Hennops Hiking trail is located about 50 Km from Johannesburg and 30 Km from Pretoria near to Hartbeespoort Dam.There are two trails Krokodilberg trail and the Zebra trail. Krokodilberg is 11.3 km and heads from the farmhouse into the mountains, beginning with a descent to the banks of the Hennops River. This route passes dolomite formations over the river via a suspension bridge and up to the ridges of the Magaliesberg with views over the valley ending with a river recrossing by means of a cable car.The 6 km Zebra Trail is a lot shorter, but takes hikers into a fenced game area with the chances of spotting zebra amongst other wildlife.
