just found stored box with prototype of wire cutter once I need to cut cables for new project we are working on, I have decided to make upgrade to get more versatile tool.
Before code was written just to cut one specific cable length with no other option. LCD display was added and new code written. In the past there were few questions regarding DIY, here are information you can look for in case you would like to build something similar:

Parts: found, used from old equipment (old printer, pneumatic parts, valves 5/2 from semiconductor old equipment, you can get from ebay, or new from smc)
Aluminium parts cnc worked: 6060
Motor Nema 23, standard stepper motor driver for 400 pulses/rev.

Note: not all goes ideal, as you can see at the end wire lost the track, caused by damaged oring, already replaced and working, I think will make few HW improvements…
