In this Blender tutorial, we have discussed how to create an oceanlike large water body without using the ocean modifier. There is nothing bad with ocean modifier, but it is not easy to apply for a large scene. Specially the edges of an ocean are always difficult to handle. Hence, in this alternate approach, we are creating an ocean just with shader setup having the same appearance. Please watch the video for the complete tutorial.
