A woman in Texas was arrested for attempting to buy another woman's child at a Walmart store. The incident occurred in Crockett, 2022 and the accused Rebecca Lanette Taylor, 49, was charged with a felony for the attempted purchase of a child. The mother of the child reported that Taylor approached her while they were in the selfcheckout line commented on the child's appearance and offered to pay $250,000 initially, later increasing the offer to $500,000. The mother refused and Taylor continued to pursue the matter even after they left the store. Surveillance footage confirmed the mother's account and when questioned by the police Taylor refused to cooperate and mentioned speaking to her attorney. After discussing the incident with Houston County District Attorney Donna Kaspar, Lt. Price obtained a warrant for Taylor's arrest. If Taylor is convicted of the thirddegree felony she could potentially be sentenced to a prison term of 2 to 10 years. #shorts #short
