Bency's inspiring journey from a quaint village in Kollam, Kerala, to the dynamic world of technology and leadership is a remarkable achievement.
Bency pursued her engineering in computer science at the College of Engineering Chengannur. In 2007, she embarked on her professional journey with a campus placement at TATA Elxsi, where her career took diverse turns—from developer to technical lead and onsite coordinator at JLR in the UK. After working in different layers of infotainment, she ended up working in HMI.
She aspired to move into a deeper technical area and become a technical architect. In 2017, a new chapter began for her when she joined Elektrobit as a technical lead. One of the leaders in the Elektrobit team identified her hidden potential for leadership skills, and the company fasttracked her career, leading her through roles as a scrum master, product owner, project manager, and team manager.
"I understood that talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships. Teamwork and strategic thinking help me succeed in leadership roles," she says.
She opines that women have a lot of potential and must identify themselves. Generally, women do not come forward. They should be proactive and take responsibility if they want to grow in their career. "When everything is smooth, we will not learn," she adds.
