This is a continuation of my previous video on how to turn an Ice fishing lure on a wood lathe. In this how to video I show how I assemble and finish the lure now that we have the maple body done. This video starts right where the last one left off. First I need to drill holes in the lure for all of the parts and fish hooks. I use a pullsaw to cut a slot for the tail fin. Soon it's on to the assembly with 5 minute epoxy. When everything is cured it's time to do the painting. I show you my struggles with the paint job and how I lay on some paint to try to resemble a fish. We do an epoxy coat to seal and protect the lure and then install the treble hook on the bottom loop. This was a fun project and I can't wait to go try it out and see if the fish bite!
