This video could have been 7 hours long. I tried to cover most of the "big red flags" that I experienced at my last school, but it was tough. It was really hard for me to find a "right time" to share the things I went through, but clearly, time has not dulled some of the pain! When you're made to feel like you aren't valued every single day, but have to show up for the kids, and try to keep any love you have for your career, it is a LOT. I am always super honest with y'all in my videos, but for obvious reasons I can't always share the hard parts in detail. Teaching is what I love, and most teachers will tell you the kids aren't the "problem," it's the adults. I feel like my experience last year helped me see some of the things other teachers have to experience, and it made me less naive to the kinds of things that can happen in schools. I'm grateful to be where I am now, and I'm grateful for all the support I've been given here. Thanks for watching and supporting me, and thank you for understanding that this video is not to complain, just to share my experience in the most authentic way I can.
