Down in the southernmost reaches of California, Imperial, CA to be specific, in the middle of the desert there is a water skiing oasis. The residents of this private little community are so serious about their sport that they built their homes right on the shore line of these lakes which are otherwise many miles away from any appreciable natural water. I met with some of the local legends, and world champions in their own right, to try and attempt this sport for myself. After seeing some of these pros in action I have to say that ski jumping is calling my name. Whether it would be smart to listen, well I'll leave that up to you.
