Along the way Ruud explains exactly what makes the “stars” of the show so amazing, while his unbridled enthusiasm for some of the world’s most detested creatures ensures that even the arachnophobics see their nemeses in a new light!
Throughout the journey Ruud sacrifices his wellbeing, at times becoming our very own “crash test dummy”, as he tries to match the incredible abilities of his bug buddies.
The stunts range from suffering the jungle’s most painful sting to pitting himself against a larger rival to show how size brings great wealth in bugland. Ruud gets uncomfortably up close with all sorts of bugs, including a swarm of killer bees, a column of army ants and giant cockroaches.
