Last week, the World's Biggest Private Jet made a visit to Brussels Airport! The Boeing 747800 BBJ is the largest and most expensive private jet in the world. The visiting one was the Brunei Government V8BKH arriving from London Heathrow early morning and flying back to London in the evening. The reason for the visit was a EUASEAN summit in Brussels. This particular BBJ made its first flight in 2012, but was only delivered in 2016, as the VIP conversion took a whopping 4 years! The aircraft is used as VIP transport for the Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.
Brunei has become one of the richest countries in the world because of it large petroleum and natural gas fields.
At the moment of publishing, there are 10 Boeing 747800 VIP aircraft in operation worldwide, all are flying for governments: 1x Brunei, 1x Oman, 3x Qatar, 1x Turkey, 1x China, 1x South Korea, 1x Morocco and 1x Kuwait. Three more B7478 VIP are expected to enter service soon: 1x Egypt and 2x US Air Force (new Air Force One)
