Today we accidentally speedrun the worlds slowest game of civilization 5! Thats right a civ 5 marathon game the slowest game possibble! 3X slower than normal with a total game length of 1500 turns! But what the developers didnt realise is that they built a broken perfectly balanced gamespeed by not lowering the rate barbarians spawn meaning every few turns a new barb camp spawns. Yet it takes 30 turns just to build a warrior. So you end up in a fun situation where the AI is getting destroyed by the barbarians.

So what if we exploit this broken gameplay feature by playing as songhai who generates gold from conquering barb camps. As we are playing on marathon 3X speed we also get 3X the reward! And with comparatively more barb camps spawning we can use the huge bonus of gold to swarm and rush our fellow AI players allowing us to Speedrun the worlds slowest Game of Civ 5. So let the spiffing brit try and exploit his way to victory whilst dodging nuclear Gandhi and his desire for the apocalypse!
