Lake Louise gets all the hype, but is it really the best lake in Alberta Canada? What about Moraine Lake? In this video, we show you why we like one over the other while watching the most incredible sunrise we’ve ever seen.

Welcome back to Banff National Park as we continue our Canada Road Trip! Today, we set out well before the sun to find our spot at Moraine Lake and capture the best sunrise in the world. If you want to see the cotton candy colors and that piercing glacier blue water you’ll have to arrive in the middle of the night to secure your spot.

Don’t worry, though! We’ve got the lowdown on how to see the sunrise at Moraine Lake. Everything you need to know to have the perfect trip, and get the best photo of Moraine Lake.

After getting that amazing sunrise footage we hiked through the Larch Valley to see the larch trees showing off their amazing fall colors. This is a can’t miss spot in Banff in the fall. The colors, just like the lake, are spectacular!

The one place everyone goes on their trip to Banff National Park is Lake Louise. This is home to the beautiful Fairmont hotel and another fabulous glacier lake with those stunning bluegreen colors.

No need to catch sunrise today because we’re hiking to the Big Beehive! If you have time for one hike here, make it the Big Beehive Trail. Be sure to stop for a rest up at the Lake Agnes Tea House we recommend the chai and apricot teas!
