The 2013 "Wings over Wairarapa" Airshow at Masterton, New Zealand was a great success with over 30000 people attending. The star of the show was a De Havilland DH 98 Mosquito F Mk 26 built originally in 1945 in Canada. It has been rebuilt over the last seven years at Ardmore, New Zealand and is the only flying aircraft of its type in the world. Owned by American Jerry Yagen this was its last show in NZ before shipping to USA.
It is flown in formation with two De Havilland DH 115 T.55 Vampire jets and a later model DH Venom.
It also flew with two Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX, two Curtiss P40E Kittyhawks, a North American P51D Mustang and a Chance Vought F4U Corsair.
