Wow! Beautiful! RC Airliner Lockheed Super Constellation - Flying and Engine Start Problems

RC Channel 1

The Lockheed Super Constellation was considered the most beautiful airliner plane in the world in the 1950s. It was one of the first aircraft to operate scheduled transatlantic flights. Equipped with four piston engines, the airliner reached an average cruising speed of 482 km/h.
The plane could carry up to 99 passengers. The range of the airliner was almost 6500 km.

The RC plane variant of the Lockheed Super Constellation shown here is also equipped with four piston engines. The faithfully reproduced model airplane on a scale of 1:10 is also a real eyecatcher, just like the original airplane. The RC model impresses with its extremely successful design, beautiful lines and color scheme. In addition, the four piston engines of the RC Super Connie give it a very unique sound that comes very close to the real airplane.

When starting, the engines must all be started individually using the hand starter and glow plug connector. There are sometimes problems: If the glow plug connector falls out unnoticed, the engine naturally cannot start. However, a helper was alert and was able to point this out to the pilot.
After all engines are running, the RC airplane taxis to the start and takes off. The RC airliner flies several laps over the airfield and, to the delight of the audience, also performs several lowlevel flights. The flight picture looks almost like the big original. After a successful flight, the RC Super Constellation prepares to land and comes back to the ground soft as butter.
