Learn how to write the equation of a line given two points on the line. The equation of a line is such that its highest exponent on its variable(s) is 1. (i.e. there are no exponents on its variable(s)). There are various forms which we can write the equation of a line: the pointslope form, the slopeintercept form, the standard form, etc.

The equation of a line given two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) through which the line passes is given by, ((y y1)/(x x1)) / ((y2 y1)/(x2 x1)).
