During this weeks 19 mile long run I broke all the rules and took my new, never been worn, Summit VECTIV pro 2s out on the trails. I'm loving the foam, the ride, the fit, the stability and the carbon. But, I find myself wishing that the 3.5mm lugs were just a little deeper. Although, after only one run I am already leaning towards racing in these shoes for the 2024 season! I'll need to log some more miles before I make that decision, but this shoe is definitely a good fit for me.

There are only 3 weeks left until the start of the Gorge Waterfalls 100k and I have one more long run to get all my gear choices finalized. I'm actually changing up quite a lot this season. Darn Tough socks are replacing the Belegas I've been wearing, Path Projects Graves PX Shell to replace my Salomon Bonatti jacket and Path Projects Graves PX shorts to replace ALL my other shorts. I'm considering a new Salomon Pack before race day, but my 2 year old Salomon Pack is still going strong with no rips or holes yet.
