XD Talon was designed specifically as a demonstrator model, for normalized hypersonic aerospace capabilities (ie as normal as general and commercial aerospace). Scaled down from XH Talon which is a VTOL Hypersonic UCAV). XR Talon, is much larger version.

Submitted with DIU (Defense Innovation Unit) with the Dept of Defense as per request, it was rejected without a single question being asked.


XD Talon was specifically designed around HYCAT, and met all criteria of the request, and exceeded every aspect in their entirety.


The rejection is not from DIU, but from a group of individuals at AFRL/AFOSR who are obstructing (along with a few insiders not employed by DOD) the Dept of Defense from advancing, preventing the United States from catching up with China, Russia, Brazil, and now even India for hypersonic capabilities.

The United States used to be Mach 10 capable 20 years ago, but the brain drain has been enormous.

Today, the Dept of Defense is spending billion's just trying to rehash 1990's capabilities for Mach 57.
