I got the holeshot, then got shut down on the third corner by Jim Clark who thought the trail went straight until I started turning right! this caused my barkbuster to interfere with my throttle (cruisecontrol sucks for races!)
Most of us on my line avoided the extreme section fearing the traffic jams that occur when only one good line up a steep section exists.
The goaround section was packed with stuck riders but the xr400 made it's way through easily for the most part .
I hit the last tree on the track but still made out in third place!
