Today on HamRadioComms I just received my Yaesu FT891 HF/6m transceiver and I go over the settings menu and what to change for ergonomics and safety for initial use of the radio. Every transceiver I ever bought comes with 100W full power on for all bands even 50mhz. This isn't good for initially using the radio when the antenna's you are using might not be resonant or have a problem. I believe it's best to start out with lower power when first getting a radio so I show how to turn down the multiple setting for power since there are separate settings for different modes.
