A relatively short family paddle on the southern part of the Yahara River, through Viking County Park and the city of Stoughton, Wisconsin. This was the firstever river paddle for both my wife (kayak) and daughter (standup paddleboard). The weather was perfect, too... 80ºF with a light breeze and low humidity.
This was a leisurely paddle. According to Paddle Logger, we covered 3.13 miles in 2.13 hours. Our average speed was 1.41 mph with a max speed (you can actually see it in the video) of 6.43 mph. This was about savoring the day and the surroundings, and that we did. This was a Sunday well spent!
