Yellowstone Volcano Update; Major Hydrothermal Explosion Causes Damage

Follow
GeologyHub

A powerful explosion just occurred from one of the Yellowstone volcano's geothermal features. This sent a plume of pulverized rock several hundred feet into the air, and hurled large boulders onto nearby tourists on an adjacent boardwalk. Thankfully, no one was injured by the largest recent example of a hydrothermal explosion in Yellowstone National Park. This video will discuss how this event occurred, and gives an opinion on what might happen next.
