Hello, my name is Kate. In 2022 I had the privilege of participating in the Youth League peace programme as a representative from the ASES organisation. This initiative aimed to empower young leaders to address and tackle issues related to peace and harmony in society. As part of the programme our team focused on the pervasive problem of cyberbullying. Together with the fellow participants we dedicated our efforts to crafting a project that would raise awareness about the impact of cyberbullying and promote digital spaces that foster respect and empathy. Our brainstorming sessions build innovative and impactful ideas to combat cyberbullying, leveraging technology and education as key components of our approach. While our project was well conceived and had the potential to make a significant difference, we faced the challenge of reaching a wider audience. Despite our enthusiasm and dedication, unfortunately we had a limited visibility. But participating in Youth Lead Peace programme provided valuable insights into complexities of addressing social issues, especially in the digital world. Although our project may not have reached the audience we had hoped for, the experience has undoubtedly contributed our to our understanding of advocacy collaboration and the need of effective communication strategies to amplify the impact of initiatives aimed at creating positive change, Thank you.

Hola, me llamo Kate. En 2022 tuve el privilegio de participar en el programa de paz de la Youth League como representante de la organización ASES. El objetivo de esta iniciativa era capacitar a jóvenes líderes para abordar y resolver cuestiones relacionadas con la paz y la armonía en la sociedad. Como parte del programa, nuestro equipo se centró en el omnipresente problema del ciberacoso. Junto con los demás participantes, dedicamos nuestros esfuerzos a elaborar un proyecto que concienciara sobre el impacto del ciberacoso y promoviera espacios digitales que fomenten el respeto y la empatía. Nuestras sesiones de brainstorming construyeron ideas innovadoras e impactantes para combatir el ciberacoso, aprovechando la tecnología y la educación como componentes clave de nuestro enfoque. Aunque nuestro proyecto estaba bien concebido y tenía potencial para marcar una diferencia significativa, nos enfrentamos al reto de llegar a un público más amplio. A pesar de nuestro entusiasmo y dedicación, por desgracia teníamos una visibilidad limitada. Pero participar en el programa Youth Lead Peace nos aportó valiosas ideas sobre las complejidades de abordar cuestiones sociales, especialmente en el mundo digital. Aunque nuestro proyecto no haya llegado al público que esperábamos, la experiencia ha contribuido sin duda a que comprendamos mejor la colaboración en la promoción y la necesidad de estrategias de comunicación eficaces para amplificar el impacto de las iniciativas destinadas a crear un cambio positivo.
