I went to Guitar Summit 2023 in Mannheim, Germany in 2023. I met the folks at Surfy Industries and was very intrigued by their spring reverb. I used to own an original early 60's reverb tank which I used back in the mid 1990's. I was a teenager then and could not appreciate how good these Fender Reverb units sounded.

Fast forward to Guitar Summit, and I got to try one of their reverbs. I was impressed, but because of the more silent nature of testing gear with headphones, I wanted to try one with my own rig and hear the difference myself. It hit me hard! I've been chasing that reverb sound for years but did not want to pay the exorbitant price tag associated with the vintage units.

I jammed with the Surfybear Classic for close to three hours. I got lost in the tone and vibe of this thing. It's unlike any pedal that I've tried. I'm certain that it won't come across in a YouTube video, so I highly recommend that you try one of these yourself with your rig.
