I am starting a new series called "Fact or Fiction", and in this series I would like to address statements I see online regarding PC hardware.

In today's episode we address the statement "You need an RTX 4090 to use ray tracing". How true is that? Can you use ray tracing on anything less than a 4090? If so, what performance can we expect? Do we need to use DLSS Upscaling? Do we need DLSS Frame Generation? Is it at all playable??

In this video we'll be testing a bunch of games using ray tracing. Please note that all benchmarks include some form of ray tracing, none of these videos are rasterization only.
