I've always considered myself a perfectionist, but as I've gotten older I've realized just how dangerous of a trait it is, and how if left unchecked, perfectionism can ruin your life.

I don't mean to be dramatic, but it's true! If your incessant need to be perfect and perfectly prepared is preventing you from launching a business, putting yourself out there, or finding joy in your creative practice, it's kinda ruining your life.

At that point, your perfectionism isn't a cute little quirk that makes you detail oriented, it's a serious flaw that you need to work to overcome.
