This week, the Budget and Policy committee heard a briefing on the mayor’s Affordable Denver Fund Ballot Measure. If approved by City Council and then voters, it would add a .05% increase to sales tax to support affordable housing in the City.

City Council advanced a bill that would allow for collective bargaining for city employees. Council will vote to send it to the ballot on July 15th.

The Safety committee sent to the full City Council a series of contracts to support the Denver Asylum Seekers Progam. The money will go to housing, career, and other support to help families get their start in Denver.
