The “Y” shaped laceration may come from blunt trauma causing tissue to burst or tear. Check for underlying injury because these are often associated with significant force. Bring the apex of the wound together with a modified horizontal mattress stitch, going through the dermal layer of the flap apex. Then repair the length of each side, this can be done with whichever suture technique that is needed. Simple interrupted, horizontal mattress, etc...
